It all depend on who your buyer is.
How much can they afford?
How bad do they want it?
How internet savvy?
I almost never sell to reseller.
Except one time here I started auction at $1
and ended up selling for $1:lol:
99.99% of time, I sell to enduser.
Some domains - I would be happy with $200 and
end up getting $15K for it just because I asked.
I can not say domain name because of NDA, but, this buyer
had .net .org .us versions and I had .com

Domain was earning less than $1/day parking.
Some domains worth easily over $xx,xxx to end user,
but, never get response when I counter with mid $x,xxx
Finding out most about buyer is very important.
Just past 7 days, I lost 8 potential buyers because
I pushed little too high
If I sold all 8 domains at their highest offer, I would
of have little over 10K
Without knowing buyer, you can not counter offer successfully.
But, it's not so easy since most buyer use gmail, yahoo or hotmail address.
