When it comes to short-form content, TikTok and Instagram are the top choices. TikTok’s algorithm pushes viral trends, while Instagram offers a mix of Reels, Stories, and posts.

Which platform do you prefer and why?

I’d go with TikTok! The engagement and trend-driven content keep it exciting.

for me - Instagram 1000% or Tiktok

.. based on my experience, and for reaching B2B businesses, the best are:
1) cold emails - on sponsored highly targeted newsletters (need to be consistent)
2) Linkedin (Linkedin groups are "gold" for finding people who are looking to do business at Linkedin > start connecting with them and start talking)
3) X (Twitter)

.. in all cases, of course, you need to target your perfect leads as great as possible

.. and for videos > for sure: YouTube, then Insta

I bounce between both apps, but I lean Instagram because I can keep things more organized and follow creators without feeling swamped. I also use Snoopreport to see what kind of posts my friends and favorite influencers are into, which helps me figure out what content feels worth my time. TikTok pulls me in for quick laughs, but Instagram still feels easier to keep up with day to day

the landscape keeps shifting fast. Lately I’ve noticed more people using both platforms differently rather than choosing one. TikTok for quick reach, Instagram for building a steady audience. Is anyone here seeing better engagement on one over the other in 2025? Curious how things have changed for others

.. I do agree on this one - the times are very dynamic.. keep seeing more and more people switching over to TikTok religiously and using it already as YouTube, or even Google.. interesting times :)

I am not against both, but for sake of mental clarity, I decided not to install both these apps. YT shorts is so addictive!

Both have reached a similar level of annoyance.
I use both but lesser and lesser.
