Hey guys,

I'm new on the block here and I'm trying to understand all the ins and outs of domaining in such a way as to avoid TM infringement.

I was considering buying (and then trying to resell) a domain like "androiddeveloper.com" (this is not the domain in question, merely an example). Obviously "Android" is trademarked, so buying and trying to resell "android.com" would not only be playing with fire but would be walking straight into the middle of a fire.

Is it within the realm of acceptability, though, to buy and resell a domain that takes a TM and adds a service to it, like the example "androiddeveloper.com"? Or is that still playing with fire and easily construed as a bad faith move?

Thanks for any advice, guys. I'm sorry if this is elementary. Like I said, I'm new and trying to learn the ropes (hopefully without getting torched right off the bat).

find a better example.
Android is NOT TM'd for software.
