"coke" is coal with most of the gases removed from it. That use of the word has been around a LOT LONGER than the drink by the same name.

...and if you are using the word "coke" in connection with something relevant to its generic meaning, then there is no problem.

That is not the same thing as trying to sell 50 variations of "drink-coke" on eBay.
