total number of sites developed search?

Does anyone remember how to query google for the total number of sites developed per Tld?

it was something like site .cc .cc for example for the .cc cctld

cant remember it, would really appreciate a reminder!

hey thanks, it seems to work.
I gues I legt a space between : and .
But it is still strange.
I remember not to while ago doing it with the tld used twice and it showed something like 40000 sites for cc
now, it is showing 1,460,000 sites for cc
hard to believe there are even that many domains, let alone developed sited for the .cc cctld.
something wrong?

it is showing over 2.5 milions developed sites for .gr (Greece), there is no way there are that many developed domains here...
Something must be wrong... :-(

I'm pretty sure that search will return total pages indexed on that TLD, not individual websites.

i.e. if you do a site:cnn.com you get 482000 results, which one for each page indexed.

I'm not sure how you could narrow it down to only one hit per domain

The correct format is:
site:.cc cc
for the cc tld as an example
my mistake was I was using initially site:.cc .cc
the second one should not have a period
