Sounds like a nice place, though I've never heard of it! Is there any "commercial" activity there?

Unfortunately there is no commercial activity on the island. The only thing that exists there is a very important meteorological station.. This island is in French control but is claimed by Madagascar and Mauritius. It's uninhabited but it is a climatologically important location for forecasting cyclones; wildlife sanctuary (seabirds, tortoises).
