Any idea what then grace period is for tucows domains? I am tracking one that was due to expire on Jul 16 but hasn't dropped yet.

I think they follow the standard procedures for drops. Either 30 days or 45. Just wait and see to make sure...

Tucows deletes at or around 40 days depending on the day of the week that the 40th day falls on.

Tucows is quite punctual on deleting expired domain.
Usually it would place the expired domain on-hold for
30 to 40 days, then delete it.

Unlike NetSol, who would hold a domain for nearly 6 or
more months before they remove it from the registry.
