.TV corp owns ALL .tv domains. They lease them to people. If you don't renew, they own it. They are the registrar and seller and owner. Negotiate with them for the best price. I got cuba.tv and havana.tv for multiple years.

Yes, just like .com, .net, etc...but there is a domain dropping on Friday I want really bad. The owner and I had worked out a price but he took too long to renew the domain and now it's dropping :-(

yes, dropping to the .TV corporation, not to the general pool. No other registrar can grab a .tv name. Contact the sales dept at .tv and see what they will charge you. Minimum is $50 per year EVERY year.
