After a week away to cover the Domain Roundtable conference in Seattle (DN Journal's complete wrap up article on that event will be published by Thursday night) we are back to bring you completely up to date on what has happened in the domain market over the past 14 days.
The numbers continue to impress, both in terms of the amounts being paid and the remarkably high volume of sales (particularly when we are supposed to be in the "slow" summer season). This week's leader is a two-letter .com that fetched $500,000 in one of the 12 best sales reported so far this year. That was one of three six-figure sales and there were 70 sales that cracked the five-figure mark, including a .co.uk sale that ranks as the third highest country code sale reported so far in 2007. The Global Contenders also fared well with seven five-figure sales (three of those were .mobis, one of which went for $50,000).
