I think all 3-letter .us that don't have q x y or z will be worth having down the line. Nothing to appraise today though because a resale market hasn't developed yet (and you can still find a few 3-letter .us without q x y z for a reg fee). A market should start developing in the next year or two though I think in terms of at least 5 years before planning to resell the .US I have. In the meantime I will develop several for my own use.
Good advice... i am comforted by the fact that someone else shares my view on this. Thanks. My friends keep telling me even the 3 letter (clean) .US names are a complete waste.

I just noticed on the front page of the new Afternic.com a list of recently sold 3-letter .US ranging from $200 - $350, so it appears that a market may already be developing. Almost every good 3-letter .us combo has been registered. Good threes are valuable in all major extensions, so I have no idea why people would think .us will be any exception. As the official country code for the world's largest market I think it will eventually pass both .net and .org in total registrations (just as the German country code - .de already has).
