I'm a developer, not a domainer. I'm always looking for unique phrases to use in my own projects, so I've collected a few and now I'm wondering what they are worth. I'm mostly interested in the general question of whether unique phrases have any market value. I know I'm willing to pay for good ones.

The ones I have are:

ridiculoushat.com
geekasm.com
runebug.com
unfortunatetypo.com
dorkilicious.com
curiousindeed.com
curiousdreamer.com
confoozling.com and confoozle.com

since, you're not a domainer, but a developer....

if I said they were worth thousands, would you sell them or develop them?

if I said they are worthless, would you try to sell them, develop them or drop them?

It's hard to say. If they were worth a lot, it would be tempting to sell them.

I'm partly interested because I find it odd that there is no marketplace for good names that would be useful to a developer. When people use the phrase "premium domain," they are referring to the most generic names possible like buycars.com or something. Why hasn't anyone set up a marketplace to buy unique, original, brandable domains? The only ones I've found are for domains made out of made-up words.

If you are a developer and not a domainer. That means you should have had an "idea" in mind when you registered these names.

So most likely you had an :idea" to develop. So you plan to build a business, so it does not matter what the domain is worth.

At the very least though you want to either get domains with decent search volume/low comp, decent PR, backlinks, or something. Unless you are willing to spend big on advertising you need somewhere to start.... Too much comp out there to just register this.this and expect to have a successful site.
