legal User Democrat - Patty Similien

I cannot believe how democrat can claim that that myspace profile listing her as an attorney isn't hers...same stats, same pictures...

well if she is scamming than it would not be a surprise if she used someone else's photo...you should try to contact that profile saying someone is using her pic and see if they respond.

Then I'm in!
Do you also take the oreo apart before eating it and licking both of them before putting it in milk.
Its crucial.
If there's a little mistake. The oreo monster comes out of the closet and kills you.
I really don't know what i'm talking about but yah. It happened to me once. WHen i was a small kid.

Just waiting for democrat to come back and explain the reason of not paying my $600 dollars :(

haven't read everything in this thread so may want to disregard my above post if it is her myspace but she claims it is not...but reading between the lines of her posts and tracking down false contact, profile and pic info is strong stuff.

nah real men don't bother with milk they just spread it open to lick the creamy center :)

Since everyone laid down their verdict, here is mine.

I think Patty was just overzealous when she began offering her brokering services. I seriously doubt that any of this is a mean spirited effort to scam domainers of their money. Just that her business practices are incompetent and many of her references pertinent to her transactions does sound untruthful any which way you look at it. It could be a defensive trait, but sorry, like everyone else here, I have to speak my mind.

Patty, you must resolve your business disputes with the people affected and it is they alone who can condemn you. Although people will be wary of doing business with you in the future, you still have enough room to right this so as to not lose your forum privileges. If you don't have the funds, then be upfront and let the disputed parties know in which time frame you will find an acceptable solution.

Hence, do not make any promises for domain sales unless you have a ready and willing client. Being a licensed Real Estate person, I know that brokers are not supposed to take fees upfront. It is not against the law, but unethical. If you call yourself a broker, then your remuneration is commissionable only, and upon completion of transaction. Do not act as a broker and an Escrow at the same time. This is what you were doing for your disouted clients. It is against the interest of the broker business model. There are plenty of options available to channel funds for a successful outcome of a trasaction so that all parties concerned are satisfied.

Cease to call yourself a 'broker' if you are accepting advance payments for your time and effort. Be precise about your fees (as the non practicing lawyer you claim to be), just as a lawyer would do.

Your business pracrices are haphazard at best. You will need to write down a business plan and a structured method of operation down to minute specifics and not do as you please. Your clients will respect you for it even if you are not successful at a sale. Trust me, most brokers fail to make a sale.

Prepare a resume of your brokering efforts. If you have not signed a confidentialty agreement of your past sales, you are not bound by any privacy laws. By not disclosing your past sales efforts, you are only hurting your business credibility, no matter what reasons you choose to defend with.

Losing DNF privileges is not a good thing for an aspiring entrepreneur like you. But, by the same token, your business practices are not at all kosher.

You have not committed a crime or a scam in my book. But, your business practices need an overhaul. It sucks.

Read my words over. Make things right.

Duly note Chris..

The funds are there. Just waiting on PayPal.

Thanks for that..

Will restructure things and I will show software :-)

You keep saying "waiting on PayPal" If you didn't contest it, it would go back to him. Why did you contest it?

PayPal is reviewing it. They have placed a hold on the funds and won't release. The thing that John did was he did the payment as payment owed to me.

I just got home from dinner and have caught up on the thread.

I would like to address the point above, only because I specifically asked Patty about it earlier today.

Patty told me earlier today that her Paypal account currently stands at negative $5k.

I believe that is different than "they have placed a hold on the funds and won't release."

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

I am not even sure where to begin..

At the beginning, first of all RNR was never EVER on sale for 2,500. Alex tried to make me sell at that price. I told him that was end user pricing. Let me show you the screen shot of Alex's payment. Please focus on what PayPal has asked me NOT to do HERE

So, by YOUR OWN ADMISSION, you accepted a payment of $5,000* from another DNF member 3 weeks ago, without my knowledge or consent (until this thread!).

Forget banning, explain why you should not be prosecuted for FRAUD. And make it good, because the 'other person' has a very convincing story and documentation to back it up.

BTW, I am talking about RNR(.)COM, a domain I own.

The paypal image she's showing on your transaction, (and I have the numbers) Clearly indicates that your payment was reversed.

I have yet to see one positive business transaction that "Patty" has been involved in. Anyone?

democrat needs to answer to this. As well as many of the other accusations, such as paying Albert Tai back. Also, I never knew paypal was so fussy, scrutinizing every transaction and holding funds everytime something happens. Never happened in my 5 years - does this happen to anyone else...?

yea this

and here I was helping her last nite on IM to fix a spam link on her site.....:(

I have always thought Democrat was an attention hound and nothing more than a lot of hot air...but I have kept my opinions to myself before....but she can certainly draw a crowd for some reason...kind of like the lovable loser.

This thread is actually not all that informative to me. I never really considered involving this member in any business I am involved with....There were just to many warning signs.
