I really wanted this one, and started to work on this deal in 2007. Finally I closed it. Everyone who's opinion is important to me, are saying that I overpaid for this name. I won't be able to say the price, I paid a lot, but you know, sometimes you just have to pay, and if you don't the name will be gone. I am an end user for this one, and started development.

Some of the priciest real estate in Canada, how can you go wrong? Super category killer. Real estate is one of the best products - high prices, always buyers and sellers, suited to internet for details/photos/video. Depending what you do you may get Vancouver realtors interested in advertising on the site.

HuntingtonBeachRealEstate.com just sold for $20,000 - population 200,000 people. That's in Orange County, California.

but could be a definite local player in homes and homes for sale searches plus a bunch of other stuff, rentals, management, whatever

instead of selling 'ads' you need to learn how to acquire 'tenant's

if you want to become the king of that market pick up

Hard to say if you overpaid without knowing the price.

Vancouver and most of Canada still have good RE markets, contrary ot areas of the US where prices have fallen 65% or even more from their 05/06 highs, i.e. Phoenix, Las Vegas, Miami, Calif Inland Empire area. P.S. Realtors are well known as being quite cheap and real tough to sell them ads.

Latest news shows Chinese buyers are coming in droves, buying out developments before they are even finished. They like investing in real estate in a stable place, to diversify investments. One realtor even opened an office in China. Don't know if it's a bubble or not, but Vancouver and Toronto are tiny cities compared to what they have over there. If Chinese demand continues there is only so much real estate available.

More domainers need to start getting in this mindset, especially with the massive decline in parking revenue.

It not a matter of just creating a "mini-site". Create sites after sites after sites, full of relevant content, and be your own entrepreneur and sites manager.

i missed to place a bid on GD expiring actions for WisconsinRealEstate/com couple days ago. It did not get an opening bid of $100. Is there something wrong with the domain, or did I really miss out on a chance to get a god RE domain for cheap?

And for RE domains, is it better to have large city / town or state as part of the name.
