the title of the subject is misleading

as it would be nice if one would post the link to the source, rather than continuing to promote "second-hand" news sites.

the effect that google may have on domain regs represents only 8% out of some 89 million domain registrations overall ,and part of that is due to lower spending trends in internet advertising, as well as historical seasonal trends which traditionally show declines in Q3.

I would say its caused by the crack down on domain tasting by charging a fee for it.

The new rules would deter the major companies form tasting millions of domains at a time as they would be charged a considerable amount of money.
