12:00----No wonder Verisign is declining so rapidly in the number of registrations.....It is CLEAR they are TERRIBLE. I have always tried to avoid them since the early days. Well, I unfortunately have to deal with them for another domain. After guaranteeing me the name would be transfered in 7-10 days....It is now day 21(business days too).

Well....I am on the phone with them right now....Lets see, I have waited for 30 minutes listening to music. It will ring about every ten minutes and I get all excited but then the music starts again.

12:42---They finally answered!!! "Due to staff cutbacks we are longer able to guarantee names will be transfered in the advertised 7-10 business days. It may be more like 30 days"
Thats just FREAKIN GREAT VERISIGN. Hell why don't you just do it next year when you get the time.

Oh well....I just thought I would vent a little. Please feel free to share some of your stories. They are probably worse.

It is pretty awful - I found out a security hole (you could access ANY domain registered in NetSol etc.!!!!) 2 years ago and I tried to tell them about it but never heard back.
I think it's still there.

Due to cutbacks??? Hahaha, always count on NSI to use the excuses to their ultimate advantage.

For years, I had a guy who I happened to get in the business services division of NSI who processed my transfers within one day if I faxed directly to him. He was just the nicest guy--a complete anomoly within the evil NSI.

Occassionally, I would send him Cd's as thank-you's and our relationship saved me so many grief-ridden days.

Sadly--and wisely--he left NSI, and I moved every domain I own away from NSI. I can't tell you how happy I am about this.

However, just before Christmas I had one last "moment" with them, when a domain I was purchasing, an absolute monster, had incomplete contact record (ie outdated email account) and the owner had no clue how to get the domain into my hands.

AMAZINGLY, NSI changed the contact record within one day, a kind of 1-in-1000 year event in which they ACTUALLY HELPED ME. IMAGINE! LOL

The number of double-charges I have on my credit card as a result of these dishonest bastards is incredible.

I'm not share I have as much hate for anybody or anything as much as I do for NSI/Verisign. They are truly what happens when absolute power corrupts absolutely: They do what they want.

I just received this totally BOGUS thing from Verisign. Please note that the domain in question, the last remaining vestige actually regged with them, is 100% UP TO DATE (IE PAID!).

ANOTHER CASH GRAB FROM THESE BASTARDS!
