One of the best .TV I have ever seen in this forum, I have a few video names which I thought were decent names, Vid.TV blows that out of the water. This .TV extension is growing increasingly popular, just an incredible name Sweetspot.

Thanks Blue,

I really appreciate your comments.

I am very new to domaining. This reg has caused quite a bit of a stir with fellow .tv domainers. I feel blessed that I have had everyone's support.

Thanks once again

I doubt a premium reg .tv will ever turn out to be a wise investment for a reseller. This is no doubt a very nice .tv domain however those $500, $1000 a year renewal fees kill any value it might otherwise have. What is the annual renewal fee?

Have to disagree with you there......if this was a name that the only end users interested were fellow domainers looking to profit from PPC or develop a site with a limited budget - you are right.

However, lets say Netflix wanted this name to capture the streaming video on demand market, how many seconds thought do you think they will give to a $1000, $10,000 even $100,000 a year fee - thaat works out to maybe a weekends profit margin...

If the quality of the reg is high enough, it won't stop a major entertainment company from buying the site...they won't even blink at the reg fee.

As to the reg fee, it is less than $750 a year by some margin.

Sure, I agree deep pocketed companies wouldn't careless about the annual renewal fee, small to medium size companies would, as would practically all resellers, eliminating possibly 95% of potential buyers. So basically you're waiting for one of those rare deep-pocketed companies to come along which could take years, if not decades, all the time having to plough $500+ a year into renewal fees, increasing your investment and the amount you need to sell the domain for in order to turn a profit.

Good luck, I like .TV and like this name – just a shame about the renewal fee.

yeah the $500+ annual renewal fee hurts the upside of this domain, dramatically. Every year you hold on to this name, your out of pocket investment increases by at least the cost of the renewal, making it more difficult to recoup your total invesment and still turn a profit via a resale. Unless you have development plans for this domain, I would not bother holding on to it on any long term basis.

Thats the beauty about this game - I have received appraisals from fellow domainers upto low xxx,xxx for this all the way to the one below essentially saying that I can only lose money on this site - less than zero!!

I am gonna go out on a limb here and say that like so many others have said - I have done my homework and I think its got really great potential - offer me $10,000 for it and I'll show you which door is the way out..:fencing:

sweetspot,

I, for one, am a huge fan of good .tv's.

Does this bad boy get any traffic? And if so, how much?

Sincerely,

Craig
