Find out how many people search for a term each month by using the Google AdWords Keyword Tool. After you enter a term there (such as "pet insurance") and type the Captcha words, you'll see some results; then go to the left of the screen under "Match Types", unclick "Broad", and click "[Exact]". Then you will see a number under "Global Monthly Searches" - that's the number the original poster in this thread was referring to.
