Hey!

Wealth.com is going to be auctioned off in a private online auction, hosted by Sedo.

The auction is a one day auction, and will be held on the 25th of June.

Here's what I find startling, the starting bid is placed at $2.9 Million USD.

Sure its a great name, and sure I realize the seller is in no hurry and can afford the renewal fees for the next few years, but isn't this a little too damn overpriced.

I feel this would have done much better if it was priced at $150K to begin the bids with.

What say?

there are better alternatives to spend 2.9M

In this market...I cannot agree more. This would not be a good buy unless that is your magazine name or similar.

I personally would rather have Contests.com 10x over than this one

candy is a product, pizza is a product, toys are products, but wealth...

i agree the asking price and reserve is a joke

i would put the max. value of wealth around what contests sold for ie 380k tops. more like 250k

however contests is a far inferior name imo
contests is worth mid xx,xxx top imho

contests has already been sold
and i can imagine the product

but wealth.com?
what would be the product?
a lottery?

would it (the website) be for poor people or for wealthy people?

wealth management?

are there really so desparate rich people who pick up their broker by typing broker.com or wealth.com?

i know, and i think they massively overpaid
plural far inferior to singular and i dont see how they can make a mint with name. i see the obvious development, but that goes for thousands of other generics that never make it to success
maybe just me. have zero interest or love for the domain

nail on head with 'wealth management' ,
and also how to hang onto it in these times, and how to grow it.
again wildly overpriced but far superior to contests, incomparable in actual fact

If it is a private auction and that is the reserve then have at it.
