.WEB was won in a $135 million ICANN auction back in 2016, and after almost 10 years of disputes it has finally been delegated with Verisign as registry operator.

The launch date and pricing are still not announced.

When .WEB launches, what will matter most: launch price, premium pricing, renewal rates, registrar support, or real end-user adoption?

I have a feeling Verisign just wants to lock this up and doesn't really care about usage.

Yes, renewal pricing may be the biggest one. If .WEB pricing is simple and easy to understand, it has a much better chance with real users.
