I'm curious about what people are doing to prepare for the BIG drop once the current drop-drought ends. Personally, I have Snaps and other similar tracking set on around 50 domains...

Just to clarify, I'm considering ANY form of reservation at a drop catching service to count as "1", not just a Snap. In other words, if you've got a name tracked with DropWizard or NameWinner or NicGenie (etc.) then that's 1 domain. On the other hand, a name that you're tracking using 6 different methods is still only 1 domain.

Hope this helps make the poll a little easier to follow :)

It's not a "big" drop. The drops will be of typical size --- just delayed by the 30-day RGP, so everything is in the same sequence, just lagged.

We won't be seeing a drop that's 30 times the normal size.

I thought of trying to sell my body to pay for all those reg fees, but I don't think anyone will "snap" it. :D

I'm not doing much about it, frankly.

I have a few snaps, but those get expensive too.

The drop catching business is more reactive than proactive, and there is a ton of competition.

Mainly, I am trying to think on a strategic level.

3 domains I'm waiting for.

One dot com I Really want - estimated 400 daily visitors, got a snap on it.

2 more dot coms - worthless and unimportant to anyone else IMO
