What Data? Suggest some interesting data.

Guys/Gals,

I am starting a new service whereby I will collate data available in the public domain for clients.

For example if a person were to want an idea of How many Metropolitan police there were in each major British city, then I would research, and collate the data for them for a small cost.

The service would NOT be for researching and answering individual questions, rather simply for data SETS.

To start the site off, and get an idea for how I am going to work the site I want some ideas of data sets that people would be interested in. I will research, and collate the first five reasonable requests, and you can have the data for free.

Please note that this service will only collate legal, and publiccly available data. The beauty of the service is that although public, some data is pretty hard to get, and some people simply do not have the time.

Suitable question:
How much bread is sold by The Co-op in each of its British stores.?
Unsuitable question:
How much does Steve Jones earn each year?

No, because that is not a data set.. Regardless as far as I am aware, the answer is 0.

The example you give for a suitable question isn't public domain info, it relates to a private business.

Obviously didnt put enough thought into my examples.
Regarding the co-op, it is a private business but as far as I am aware, various 'Flow of data' acts mean that legally if you ask they have to disclose such info. I will however check up on that.

So any ideas?

Cheers for the questions guys. You have made it obvious to me that I was being extremely naive to think such a venture was viable
