Why am I seeing all these threads of people trying to sell their domains and I see BIN's and sale prices going in sequence of lower and lower..

Don't yall understand that people aren't going to buy from you if they see you consistently lowering. They are going to see how low you go. Just because you aren't getting any bids doesn't mean anyone isn't interested.. You are failing the silent game miserably!

I know the times are tough but "really" do we have to play limbo?

Just my frustration spewing out, don't mind me.

Many buyers are looking for good deals and many buyers do not have a clue how to make an offer. Sometimes a buyer will be interested when they see the price lowered a bit, sometimes they wont. Sometimes it is a waste of time, sometimes you will get a sale maybe not as much as you would like. Noone knows the value of a domain and the first price that comes to mind may be a bit higher than reasonable, you may decide to lower the price. Sometimes you need to update the thread for buyers that missed it the first time. Personally I would not lower the price to dirt cheap especially if the start price was significantly higher.

It must be very annoying for you... since you hardly ever buy or sell domains here, to constantly scroll sales threads... lol

yes, i agree and plan to discuss this with management to put some restraints on this because it is being abused.

yes, it is very annoying and unfair to other members who may not post and bump their threads every day like some do.

their threads don't get a chance to stay at the top of the que, because everyday, they're bumping at least 4 to 5 or more of their old threads with some "price reductions".

violating posting rules by starting threads for a list of names, then reposting the same list a day or two later, only with a different name in the title.

it's unfair for one to have 4 or 5 threads of your threads at the top of the que for any sales section , repeatedly.

though the rules may permit you to start new threads after 24 hrs, some abuse the system with no regard for others.

Its a very smart way to sell domains...
If an enduser manages to find the thread, they may buy at the high price. This is unlikely, thus you gradually drop the price. The whole point is that if someone wants it they WILL post sold, because if it is a good name, and they wait for the next reduction, someone else will snap it up.

It aids in selling names at market value, with the potential of making a fortune on an end user.

As a businessman, I feel that this technique is not only bad for the seller, it is also bad for the industry. There is nothing wrong with a discount or a drop in price here and there but dropping it until 95% off is a bit much.

People need to have confidence in the industry and their name(s), otherwise just put a $15 - $20 price on it from the beginning.

Patience has a lot to do with it. It's not uncommon for a name to sell a year or two after being on the market.

And yes, It is very true that others watch and learn user selling techniques/patterns.

I bought and sold a few domains here and I still do look, just not as much I used to... Many of the names don't appeal to me and the ones that do are usually out of my price range.

As for selling, the last one I posted was a good traffic name that earns over $150 a month, I even posted the stats, and the highest offer I got was 2 months revenue, it's really discouraging.

And I didn't bump it
