What happened to .com.cn?

They seem to have disappeared of the face of th earth, I failed to reg 23 via one registrar so perhaps I was lucky!

There is little or no reference to them on the forum, that is what I mean.

It was only a few weeks ago they were all the rage!

Actually there want much interest in them..everyone is waiting uhntil March 14th for .CN to be released/unrestricted..

Most common domains already registered.

The truth is: MOST if not ALL good names are already looong gone. Our friends in China has been registering .cn for many years BEFORE it opened up last December and you guys thought that was a landrush. And for those who do NOT speak or write Chinese, you just don't know what the GOOD names are! I can tell you that even internet.cn is NOT a good name.

I agree with nameslave about the .cn, though it is worth to invest considering open trade with China.

Whilst I agree that most of the good names were picked up by Chinsese buyers I do not see the relevance of reading and writing Chinese.

I get ovr 50 tv channels beamed out of China most of them having a reference some time or other to a .com.cn and they are ALL in English.
