Even though nearly everyone pooh-poohs extensions like .CC does anyone feel that in a few years the "short and sweet" .CC names will rise up?

...Or will the (ongoing?) addition of more TLDs like .INFO, .BIZ, and .US etc. keep the .CCs of the world down?

...Perhaps the fact, that internationally .CC has little meaning as opposed to the main TLDs, will always be a barrier to a top placing in the DN stakes.

What are people's thoughts on this?

Hi,

I'm not quite sure how .cc got up there in the first place. I'm surprised that it has as many registrations as it does already, as it belongs to a tiny island (which isn't even its own country). So IMO, it doesn't really have much of a future.
