Just wondering what kind of value a web site might have based on PR alone.

The web site in question receives very little traffic (10 to 30 approx uniques/day).
No earnings - there are no ads on the web site. It is not in a very lucrative sector.

What it does have is:

PR6: home page
PR5: 3 pages
PR4: 65 pages
PR3: 140+ pages

Marketleap shows:
Google/AOL = 38
HotBot = 55
MSN = 70
Yahoo!/FAST/AltaVista = 217

There are no (zero) outbound links from the web site.

The domain in question is a .co.uk

i think PR value has dropped due to the fact that it isnt updated as often as it used to be, your site could very well be a PR0 or even a PR10, the PR value you see for your sites are about 4 months old, saying that though many people are still buying text links on high PR sites in the hope that next time it updates they will have an increased PR value. to answer your question i would say based just on your PR its worth around the low $xxx value

PR ALONE means absolutely nothing. However, to some it does have value. Those including myself look for domains with PR (but make sure the domains have a number of other attributes.)

Assuming those are genuine backlinks to YOUR domain and no redirection funny business, you could have yourself a $xxx domain just based on the numbers you mentioned.

The backlinks are certainly genuine. I didn't mention that in addition to the above it is also DMOZ listed and has an Alexa rating of 611,942 - again I'm not sure if that makes a difference to the potential value.

I don't imagine anyone has any idea when the PR is next likely to update?

Yes, DMOZ listing makes a huge difference (positive.)

Nobody outside of the Googleplex knows when the next PR update is going to be. As we speak there is a possible backlink update underway, but that doesn't mean PR update.
