For Sale whats going on with the . ORGs ?

they seem to drop but not be able to register! Anybody know anything about this?

Regsitry is closed until 6pm eastern time Sunday (due to PIR taking over Registry from Verisign). No more .ORG names will drop for 2-3 months either.

ok thx for the info, do you reckon there will be a rush for regs at 6 pm eastern time, or will the registrars with the first attempted registration get the domain for their customers regarding the domains in limbo?

It has been raining "expired" .orgs all night...

Some .orgs are marked "available" when I do a realtime check, but I can't register them... I guess I'll have to wait till midnight then (=6 est)

They will probably just auction off these domains after they get going and reap huge profits much of which will be funnelled into verislime

Nah already been trying it for the past 30 minutes. These babies aren't gonna drop into our hands this easy.

I haven't tried any other registrations but I think they will just be queued.

as I read on the pir.org website the registrars have to make some changes to work with the new system. I believe registrars will adjust to this with different speed, meaning that if we locate the first one to get their scripts configured and up and running we will be able to start regging the limbo orgs in peace and quiet...

some people were "able" to reg some names

ie they were billed for them, but will probably not get them..

what are the legal issues with this?, if a company allows you to reg a name due to the registry transfer move.
