I was wondering, what is the average price of a new registered domain out there? It seems like the price is dropped a lot lately, I can see that a lot of them sell below $10. Can they survive?!

Seems with GoDaddy's $8.95/year domains (.com/.net/.org/etc) and Verisign/Network Solution's $35/year domains, the happy medium is around $15.

GoDaddy seems to be in "it" for the long run. We'll see! :D

powerpipe.com $7.99, with free transfers, the cheapest I have seen for single orders.

Isn't powepipe an enom or OpenSRS reseller?

Stargate/GoDaddy are ICANN accredited Registrars.

Yes powerpipe is an enom reseller, makes no real difference in my opinion.
