Thank you guys... guess i should have done a search. By the way... i wouldn't mind trying one out if someone has an extra invite or two.

Best Regards,
Dave

Well, I have one complaint about gmail - there is no alert when you get new mail... one thing i have always liked about aol mail is the fact that it makes a sound "You've Got Mail" when you get new mail.

Also with aol, i don't have to sign in to see if I have new mail on one of my other screennames.. just one click, and it shows how many new emails for every email address.

I realize gmail is beta and I hope they add some sort of alert in the future. (maybe they already have it, but I looked all over and couldn't find it if they do).

Just some thoughts,

Dave

Actually Dave you are wrong. There is something called Gmail Notifier by google which rests in your system tray next to the clock and tells you when you recieve a new e-mail and more. Check it out at http://toolbar.google.com/gmail-helper/ - Hope it helps!

google messenger and google browers will most likely be all linked together in the same way as msn and yahoo and aol

Not just free big space, its so easy to navigate and organize. It also incorporates its search engine with your inbox and saved e-mails so you can search for old e-mails etc...
