If you are talking about when the adsense ads are the second 'post' in the thread, thats only when you are not logged in. The ad thats at the bottom is always there, but is it really that intrusive?

The adsense is the second post for guests only.

Guests are entitled to see more ads.

If it is the second post while logged in please notify me where this occurs, if you have the audacity ;)

Can't believe noone else has audacity to ask something which is so sudenly obvious to everyone!

What's up with the AdSense ads being posted as posts in various threads? Never seen a forum that sticks ads in the actual posts?? Don't you have any sense that some tactics are simply not worth it in the greater scheme of things and that they will simply backfire at you because they will alienate a lot of members? This tactic is very cheap as ads are displayed in blatant, intrusive and uninviting way, and are for that reason not welcomed by vast majority of members.

I wonder what's next?

You know, the "growth pursuit" is not a blank license to assault paid members and viewers with unwanted ads and overcommercionalization of every possible piece of browser screen, but a way of offering a creative and meaningful content that will make your users engage and "stick" in other increasing numbers and ways.

Some things should remain "holy", but obviously that is not your approach. Everything is maximized for the biggest immediate numerical impact, while no thought is given for the mid to long term consequences, nor is much respect given to your members.

This is not a way to go.

Cap,

Try decaf, the ads in posts are for GUESTS only.
