Why the high profile name like sex.us was registered on Thu May 16 21:10:26 GMT 2002, 23 days after the .US opens for public?

More than that, the registrant is living in New Zealand. Anyone know about the history behind this name?

Maybe he bought it from someone else at that time? Just a suggestion though.
