I will not give the extension for obvious reasons as i only own the one but which one of these is the best :

The singular : "downloadringtone" or the plural "downloadringtones"

I have the one but not the other but before i go out and develop it i need to know which is the best so as to ascertain whether im wasting my time or not. Thanks !

I would give my nod to the plural.

Cheers,
BidNo

"downloadringtones" , definitely!

plural , but if the words were reversed " ringtonedownload " then the singular would be better

DNJet nailed it. In this situation the plural is definitely better.

It would depend on the search term used by those looking for ringtones..

I would say that the plural is probs the better name, but I think a search on google etc would more likely be for the singular.. e.g. "ringtone download" "free ringtone download" etc etc

but remove the word download, and the search is more likely going to be plural e.g "ringtones" "free ringtones" etc etc

Plural. Nobody is looking to download just one ringtone.

id go plural, it sounds better, and helps set in the mind that they should buy more than one and that you have a wide selection, etc.

Thanks for the help guys !

I can now reveal i have the plural :-)

I think the singular is best :peace:

I find it interesting that the only 2 people here who said the singular was better were the 2 people from outside the US. One from Hong Kong and one from Scotland. Lanugage barrier??? Plural is better IMHO.

But I debate the same thing when regging names all the time....i buy both most of the time if they make sense.

Read further up LOL

I posted the singular remark (after) the OP said he owns the plural...

English language is the same whether it's someone from Scotland or Hong Kong..

But apparantly the US as a whole do not get irony!!!!

wrong....it is not the same. In the US, the english language has changed alot with slang, hip hop and the generation x. our language has changed.

And there is no way that people in hong kong speak perfect english....have you read some of the posts on here?? sometimes its complete jibberish!!
