Why can't I cancel an offer while wating the reaction ?

I've been in "negotation" with someone at Sedo for some weeks. Each time I bid, the guy take a week to re-counter bid with a slightly lower price.
Now, that soo much time has passed I've found another name that fits my need recently added on Sedo, too.
I wish to cancel my current negotation right away and bid the newly added domain instead.
Is this possible ?
