Zoyo.com just sold for €6000 in sedo auction.
I was wondering why it is that cvcv.com's are doing so good while other 'premium' llll.com's are being sold for much lower prices.
Aupe.com ended less then half an hour from zoyo and sold for €246.
In my opinion aupe.com is even pronouncable and brandable as zoyo.com and I think that just because zoyo has the cvcv pattern it sold for allmost 25 times the price of aupe. Why are the cvcv.com's doing so good compared to other 'premium' llll.com's and is the cvcv.com market just hyped up?

Estibot appraises Aupe 5 times as valueable as Zoyo.

Very curious what everybody thinks about this.

It all has to do with the business plan of whoever bought these names. These are not reseller prices, but rather end-users buying zoyo or yoyo or whatever.

a. zoyo sounds much better than aupe

b. "premium letters" is a domainer thing, not an end-user thing

c. bot appraisals are worthless

d. yes the market is hyped

I would rather make my site on Zivo.com than Aotl.com

I sold my last really good CVCV.com just a week or two before the price exploded like crazy. I'm sure it will sell for $10k+ now. :)

Thanks for sharing toughts :). Agree with you guys that the cvcv's are in general more brandable then other premium 4l.com's, just think that the price differences are out of proportion.

bah. don't compare end user sales with domainer auctions :)
Maybe zoyo wasn't the best example but I still think I'm a little right :). (not so convinced anymore though, since I watched dato.com got a steal yesterday :( ). Thanks for the link :).

Zoyo.com is more of a 2.0 name. I agree with Acroplex, this was end user with startup money for a project. Maybe a social site or product launch.

I also like the repeating vowels better with O being one of the best, as well as A. DADA, HOHO etc.

Premium CVCV's just make sense for branding. Short, clear and easy to remember!

I think I participated actively to this "emulation" buying around 30 cvcv.com these past 6 months. Most were purchased from forum members...

...

pcproffenno is also an active actor of this emulation but as a seller, remember how many times he "spammed" (friendly term) the forum these past months trying to sell his CVCV.com :)
