Anyone know why domaindeluxe is incredibly expensive?

I offered for a domain that's probably worth $100, and they replied back saying $4650? They never even responsded to a $500 offer. Only when I put $1000, they decided hmm, lets counter $4650.

Ive got them down to $3k right now, but they dont seem to be going any lower. This process has taken almost 3 weeks. They are quite slow on response. I just dont get it.

That's probably how they make money, just sell one of their domains for $3000 and buy a ton more with it.

anyone have any ideas or thoughts on this?
thanks
Basically, because they would have to sell 46 domains at $100 to make the same amount of money as selling one for $4600. BuyDomains model is very similar - so many names that every month someone, somewhere, will pay a lot of money for one or two (or ten). Less sales = Less hassle. It's just a numbers game to them..

Should check out mostwanteddomains.com for a chuckle, most names even crap are $10K or more!

Definitely not worth our time to sell names for $100. I would rather spend my time reading these boards.

They sure do got some nice names.
