Why Sedo is no good.......

If you have a domain for sale over 10k an enduser cannot bid because they have never bought a domain over 10k before,its ridiculous for the seller but great if you are a buyer because your competition is greatly reduced.......

so they have to BUY a domain for $10k before they can BID a domain for 10k?

i see some pros and cons to this...

pros
1)it can be good for the seller because now you know that the bidder already has a reputation for buying big $$$ domain and won't jerk you around.

2)more reputable buyers will want to bid your name just for competition sake with other bidders.

cons
1)as britishbulldog mentioned it does reduce bidding offers because that's 1 less bidder to bid on your name.

i can't think of any more cons but i'm sure there are more than one.any one else?

Well yeah to be honest mate it aint gonna happen but they do piss me off........

Then this is what will happen; the buyer (if he is really interested) will contact you via Whois, and make an offer directly. You will either accept or reject, but either way will pay no commission. So essentially, Sedo is giving free exposure.

I have had two instances where offers were declined by me via Sedo, just to have the offering party contact me directly to negotiate.

For the most part, Sedo is good for domainers swapping domains and cash.

I would love to know how many end user sales you have had on sedo?

That to me is where I want to be and who I want to be selling to.
