For Sale WLS - Develop Or Die

If WLS does come to pass and all the names are reserved by the major players with deep pockets, then many of us will be forced to do what we need to do more of.....DEVELOP.

I'm not saying that all of us here haven't done some development, but there are many that are trying to buy type-in traffic for their search page or affiliate program ONLY and these days are numbered.

We are already facing the fact that their are a handful of players that are paying (or should I say overpaying) insane amounts of money at the auctions for these names.

It is too late for someone just getting started to build any decent traffic today from deleted names only.

In this enviroment , It's easier buying names direct from the owners than getting them from drops anyway.

The only way I see to make good money is to work your butt off
and build a content rich website with your niche and market the hell out of it.

I am impressed with many of the sites some of the members here have built and I applaud them for their effort.

We are facing a new era with this WLS crap that will change our daily routines.

I've been chasing names almost every day for four years and I'm ready for the change.

So get ready folk's, put on your thinking caps and adjust to the "new world" that will be here if WLS happens.

I say: "Develop Or Die"

:laugh: It's funny how a name goes through the deletion cycle and gains 500% in value these days. Plug - I'm trying to sell turnkeys.com for $3700 on ebay right now. With $300 and 40 hours of work to start, one or two per week after, I expect it to make twice that much per year.

It depends, I guess. I have a small inventory of names because names aren't really my thing. I'm a search engine person. However, I am fond of vanity names to some extent because they have a marketing value. I mostly only have names that I know I can develop. I'm not surprised that those who are really name people don't see the value I do in some of my names. I've been slammed on kore than once there. :laugh:

I could develop 1-webmaster-affiliate-program.com if I wanted and do pretty well. I like webmasterprogram.com much better, but the value of domain names in general really spirals down when you know how to develop them. There will still be people willing to pay for vanity, and I don't blame them. They just have deeper pockets than and more resources than I do.

The "new era" of developing domain names has been there for many years. Maybe you are just now thinking it's a good idea.
