Shouldn't we be more worried about AIDS, starving and homeless children, abused women and abandoned newborns? Just wondering.....

Sure, worry about it all.

You can personally do something not to get AIDS, you can feed yourself and your children and give them a shelter, you can do what you can not to be an abused woman...
