.. finally made it back to Latvia after quite an adventure.

The trip started in the UK, where I packed up and closed my Maidstone office, loading the car with everything that still had a use. From there I drove to Hamburg for Domain Stammtisch, caught up with lots of familiar faces, and then continued all the way to Latvia.

Somewhere along the journey I drove straight through Europe's heatwave.

Among all the boxes on the back seat was this filled bird feeder. I completely forgot about it until I started unloading the car in Latvia.

When I picked it up, I genuinely had to do a double take.

The plastic had softened so much in the heat that it had... developed a rather unfortunate shape. 😂

And before anyone asks... yes, I deliberately placed a small hand cream box next to it in the photo. Not because it's related, but simply to give everyone a proper vertical reference. Otherwise I was pretty sure people would think it was just a camera angle or lens distortion. 😅

Now I can't unsee it.

Has the European heatwave melted or deformed anything unexpected for you?

What are the temperatures in Turkey right now?

The average perceived temperature in Istanbul is 35 degrees Celsius, and it will likely rise even further.

Great that way people accept climate change and adapt or die.
Get out of cities, those a death traps in the long run.

still, cities are the concentration of money, personal connections and opportunity streams that are crucial for the success of young people who come into this life without anything.

.. yes, later, if you are successful enough - you can retire in a country-side. :) of course, this is a philosophy of a hustler :)
