lool .. I tried it two times and I was going mad as well but I figured it out.
Every color assigned to 5 numbers and every house has 1 number from each color.

Yes, but the real question is how to tell which door to click on at the last stage. Unless it would be the same answer no matter which door you click on...

It wouldn't matter - it would assign "your" number to the door you open, then give you two other #'s for the other doors.
