I may consider auctioning this one, and would be grateful
for your appraisals.

www + tl (TL is the ccTLD for Timor Leste).

Domain receives about 150 (ave.) uniques per day.

It be best to develop it. Personally I think you will struggle to sell it. I registered loans.tl when this extension came out and it was hard to shift it for $2 .
Not sure perhaps one for a long keep.

His name is different than loans.tl.

www.tl is valuable. Any www.cctld is always valuable. Definitely worth the registration fee.

The traffic alone is worth a lot of money.

+1

This is especially true due to autocomplete in browsers. For example, I'm used to typing in just "www.fa" for facebook on my pc. However, when I do it on my blackberry, I frequently type in just that and hit enter, assuming it will complete it for me.

Assuming that frequently visited sites which start with the letters "tl" exist (none of which I can think of off the top of my head), you should be able to leverage this behavior into profitable traffic.

Hi guys,

Thanks everyone, for replying.

www.cctld names are quite sought after, and are particularly rare
as there is just one for each country. Most of these names are govt.
or registry-owned, but there are a few in private ownership (I would
hazard a guess at 20 or so) and www.tl is one of them.

This isn't a 'generic' name, by any means, and although it's an unusual
recipient of 'type in' traffic, 150 uniques a day (ave.) remain a constant.

Cheers,

I agree with people which suggest to develop that. That might be good local based portal. No special niche is needed.

Hi Siber, thanks for that

I've had a thought about www.tl (I don't often get 'thoughts' but it does sometimes happen!)... ;-)

It came to me yesterday, while using something called 'bit.ly', and I wondered whether www.tl might
be a suitable candidate for an URL shortening service... e.g. www.tl/DgHLJ type links? (in addition to
'true love', tl could also stand for 'tight links' or something similar).

Technically, since all such services seem to dispense with the initial 'www', www.tl would be 6 characters
long, the same length as bit.ly. Does www.tl have a possible advantage 'though, in that it might be more
aesthetically pleasing to the eye??...

I'd love to hear from anyone who knows more about url shortening services, and can give their opinion!

Cheers,
