I think if it does they should move all that type of content to that TLD so people would not get trapped into going to a site or finding it in a search engine...

Any word on when they might be released?

I am all for the xxx extension thing, should of been that way always...... and

Search engines should filter out the titles or not index them at all or have specific sub searchengines for adult content, or start making more kid
and non porn subsearch engines either way.

And to add to that developers should be responsible enough to put adult content rating meta tags in their pages.

Not just for people who dislike porn sites...but atleast for the kids, we owe them that dont we as adults?

But doing all this is a major thing to make everyone happy..but I think with a xxx extension and only that being allowed for adult sites, that would make the situation more managable and everyone happy, of course if you have somehardcore domain you bought for $500 ..its now worthless.

Hmm..... There must be a way to keep everyone happy, isnt there?

I think they should have it, it would keep the web safe.

Im not sure what needs to be done but I cant stand if your looking for something in a search engine and something for porn is in the listings,
I think....... man..how many kids has this happened to...

Or I would do a typo and bang I am at some porn site.......

Thats the uncoolest....I know traffic typos are valuable but if you know
the typo is going to be used targeting non porn people and kids who think they are headed to a nice mainstream site.your a scumbag...period.

They should but they wont because the porn masters will lobby against it.. but THEN again you can pressure senators to take on this issue in the States..you can very easily make them look like they support the pornmasters over the kids..

just send cc 1 letter to each senator from an organization against porn that you set up.. after they all dont reply except fopr the oneor 2 ..then you buy a $99 PRWeb that gets picked up by every news organization in the world ..editors fromthose organizations then decide to run the story ithrough their media..

BAM next day headlines.. "44 Senators refuse comment on Porn domains"
organizatiion for Family web today is reporting that 44 senators refused o evencomment on moving porn out of .com and into .xxxx

you get the drift..
..

Yea see thats the thing. Big money in porn so at this point, the powers that be are on the porn side...where the money is.

So I think it comes down do just better filters, browsers specific for non adult
and kids, etc.

The reality of it is this: yea alot of people are against porn, but way more results on sex are in search engines than anything else so the majority are for porn as far as traffic and stats go, am I right?

People dont want to face it but it's there so rather than fight the powers that be and all that , focus in other ways I guess to make the web safer for children.

Not sure if this can be done or ever will so if you have a child surf the web
with them, get a safe filtered browser (which are not 100%safe).

Shouldnt be that way but it is.....
