Hi,
As everyone knows, Yahoo is offering domain registration for $1.99. is there a catch in this? Is it possible to transfer the domain to a new registrar during the first year?

Thanks.

I would never reg a domain at yahoo.. Heard some bad stories about them.. And i think you can only have one $1.99 domain per account? Also im not sure they have a "free push system".. Go with moniker.com instead.

Yes, I agree with Dimva. I once registered a domain with them, and I swore never to do that again, no matter what the proces are. Very difficult system to work with.

Their support staff themselves are confused people. They dont have a push system and cannot do anything about transferring domains within the yahoo accounts - thats what one of their support staff said. About 2 weeks later, another staff said they can do it manually but it will take a month to process. That $1.99 is a trap that will save you nothing. Right from next year they will charge $9.99. One of the worst registrars ever.

yahoo is not so good as enom, monoker, ...
