You know .mil is the extension for military organizations, most ccRegistrar had followed ICANN restriction and reserved them to prevent them from being regged. It's quite hard to find such kind of domain nowadays.

If you can hang on to it. It is a nice catch. The biggest risk I can see is that the Libyan government mignt want back.

As for value. This is worth more than "reg fee" but how much its hard to say.

anyways, milly gets a few 100k google, i'd say you could probably sell it for a couple hundred to the right buyer, but it may take some searching.
