Please appraise

cricketbook.com

Cricket is a fairly well known mobile phone company, at least here in Colorado. I'd take a good look at trademark issues if I were you before proceeding. Just a thought.

Best regards,
Sheila

I don't think TM is an issue. You'd have to shop this name to get a good price. I think dotus is pretty close at $30.
JMHO
Good Luck!

A mobile phone company in Colorado eh?
I will write to the Cricket World Cup committee immedaitely and warn them that the sport might have to be renamed.
But who is going to tell India and Pakistan?

Thanks

So if another mobile phone company in Colarado names itself
Soccer , it will lay claim to Soccer.com . Right ? ;)

the football mobile phone company of colorado could cause quite a stir

OUCH!!!! I THINK I HAVE BEEN STABBED IN THE HEART. AS IF I HAVEN’T ALREADY BEEN BROKENHEARTED ENOUGH FOR ONE WEEK.

Sniff ... sniff ...      ...

Now you've gone and done it. Hurt my feelings and everything. :sigh: :sigh:

And just when I was beginning to feel like I had something of REAL value to contribute. :embarrass :embarrass

Now I have to slink off into the shadows and hide for awhile. What's a gal to do??

I mean, how can I ever return to this forum after such an embarrassing turn of events??

This sort of public humiliation could send me into decades of therapy with a good shrink. But since I’m one of the best shrinks I know, even this is going to be hard to accomplish.

I think I need to go off into a corner and decompensate for a while. Sheesh.

Tee Hee ... gotcha for a minute, I'll bet!  I was actually wondering how long it would take for someone to pick up on my silly comment. Once I left that message and received a couple of serious responses to it, I wished that I had gone back and written "JOKE" at the end of my post, but I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings who took my obviously Colorado-centric comment so seriously.

In actuality, I wasn't even sure that the Cricket phone stuff was only a local reference. Are there no Cricket phones elsewhere?

In any case, I truly did enjoy reading the various responses to my comments.

Hey ... what can you expect from someone who actually owns "TheDenverBroncos.com"??? and who has been permitted to co-exist very peacefully and harmoniously with the REAL NFL site, "DenverBroncos.com" and its owners living so close by. Actually, although the Broncos play at Invesco Field, the team’s corporate headquarters appears to be located in a building less than half a mile from my office.

I'm sure that they know that I own the domain name, but I'm such a die-hard fan that I don't plan to sell the site or do anything with it other than to enjoy the "bragging rights" and boost my favorite team in any way I can. :D

Sorry Sheila - but Cricket is very dear to me, kinda like baseball to your Colorado kin :)

Now way Any phone company can take over cricketbook.com!!

Last I played cricket was 30 years ago - was good to.

Anyone know the words of that lovely reggy song:
Cricket - Cricket - why does nobody like it?
cause it's so damn slow :)

Is you name really Sheila?

Hey, Domainaholic ...

I know how it is. May you and your Cricket memories and future fantasies about the "perfect game" bring you nothing but lots and lots of happiness.

I think I just figured out why the Cricket phone service chose to use that name!!! Not only is the phone connection incredibly SLOW, which is one reason that I wouldn't consider using it ... it also Chirps any old time it wishes to do so.

The Name "Cricket" shall forever be associated with nothing but wonderful sporting experiences.

Cricket Forever !!!

Love y'all,
Sheila

I do not love cricket half as much as I love Colorado - got married their to recently ;)

Chicago bears fan myself (aka kick Bronko butt) - just another silly lil sport :)
