Actually, my most useful snap personally is the name of a comic character I'm creating. I sold the unhyphenated version and Snapped the hyphen version. Since I got my trademark before the buyer, maybe I can go bully them back out of it. Heh.

I absent-mindedly listed it at GreatDomains.com for kicks and I got an e-mail from a lawyer asking if I was interested in selling. After much wrangling, the price sounded about right for me to try other angles of online promotion for the character. It was the domain that GreatDomains took their sizeable cut out of, but I made out well.

The craziest part was this was before I'd heard of SnapNames.com (and possibly before it was around), and I remember just sitting their day-in-day out like a zombie making sure I got that name. Back when NetSol allowed you to go check if the current owner was still being allowed to pay online before, they then got delisted, and finally deleted the whois entry.
