Nominet is hosting a Members’ Regional Event at the National Railway Museum in York on Tuesday 8th September 2026.
This in-person regional event is aimed at Nominet members and the wider .UK domain name community. The day will bring together members, registrars, domain professionals and the Nominet team for updates, networking and discussion around the future of .UK.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the Nominet team, including CEO Paul Fletcher, together with product and technical colleagues. Nominet says the event will include updates on the next developments for .UK, lunch, good company, and access to the National Railway Museum galleries, including the virtual Flying Scotsman simulator.

Nominet has chosen the National Railway Museum at a time when several major UK technology and infrastructure milestones are being marked: the 40th anniversary period of .UK, the 10th anniversary of the National Cyber Security Centre, and Nominet’s own 30th anniversary.
These milestones also coincide with the 200th anniversary of the railways, one of Britain’s most important inventions.
