Google shows almost 100 MILLION results with "boom".

It's a remarkably international term, officially accepted or at least widely used in all important languages. It is used to talk about a period of economic prosperity, a sudden peak of an economic data, e.g. demand, etc. Besides, the Spanish .es is one of the extensions which is growing fastest in development, sales and prices on the Internet market, because it's not only used by Spanish developers, but also for the whole Spanish-speaking community, with almost 400 million speakers in LatinAmerica and the USA.
