Any thoughts as to the short term value of this ?

I plan on holding for 5-6 years, I am just curious of what people think it is actually worth in today's market.

I am well aware IDN names are a risky gamble, and noone knows what is going to happen. However I am also curious as to thoughts of the domain's value after a half decade hold being put on it ?

Everyone knows what is going to happen, we just don't know when. Now that idn.idn (.com/net) have been sandbagged by the new gTLD program we are in for another wait. :veryangry:

IMO you got a nice domain there, the Japanese use .net a good bit so not as much stigma as among domainers about the extension. The term appears to be top, 230,000,000 google serp. The .com was taken at testbed in 2000' and the .biz is held by Japanese native.

Very nice google pics too...

Agreed - I'm thinking it is a hold and pay for a good part of my daughter's college education type of domain name ...

Also agree on the other point, I think they are trying to milk ccTLD as much as possible. It is getting to the point though where certain registries like .cn .ca as well as others WITH END USER VALUE are only letting natives register those names. When that is made to be a criteria for new extensions is when IDN.IDN will be spawned, it is just a matter of time.

This is an interesting time in the domain investment arena IMHO - very interesting.
