i have asked you
so you have no opinion?

if anyone uses such a name in business, it will be his biggest mistake

no one will remember it (in germany)
people would not be able to type it (without using google or wikipedia)
it is no typo, so it has no traffic

Yes, my opinion is that you should ask the Germans why they also registered thousands of similar names.

Why do you have such a problem with what I register, it couldn't be you were actually hoping to register it and I got there first- nah can't be- or is there something more sinister.

i hope you are kidding

i liked many of your domains in the past (or e.g. geography from your signature)
but definitely not .de domains with "ë" or even "ÿ"

Just pure alphabet .de names are a good investment imho :)

I dont think J.de is for sale :eek::eek:

For the record fù.de was taken by yet another German, perhaps gives an indicator of their opinion of what others may think.
A domaining newbie registered a worthless pseudo IDN so let's all do the same ?

I was thinking more in terms of what FU could mean and the thousands of other similar names regged by the German newbies.

did anyone on DNF manage to get a nice 1 or 2 letter .de name?

A lot of this Domains are trademarks- not only VW.de .
And I don't think, that starting some Florida-based companies will secure the Domains for the (current) owner.

lets hope the new 'owners', dont let sedo buy them or broker them so they can flip them

"domains Sedo auctioned off include TV.de (€279,499), PC.de (€158,700) and DE.de (€144,277). none of these was later registered by Sedo, though."

We got wd.de

Both 'premium' letters in German, I'd say - esp the D for Deutschland.

very nice

i think "w" is even better in german than "d"

it can be e.g. webdesign, but such domains are usually more interesting for companies with the abbreviation "wd" and complicated names like "weyenburger & domainowski"

Appreciate your worries but trust me, i am in this business since 12 years and know what i am doing ;)

No worries here. :)
This is a fresh registered trademark, so the chance is high, that they don't have a good Domain for the TM.
