Well the title says enough I think.. Is a 1-word domain always that good, regardless the extension??

In this case I want to purchase a 1-word name domainname with a .EU extension. It's a well known product in the wellness industry.

Looking forward to your replies guys!

it`s good, everything is good as long as there is demand on the market but if it`s well known product I would be careful with copyrights and tradermarks in Europe, first that.

Don't fear trademark problems with .eu domains that are available April 7th. The great thing is: anyone who had a trademark for this name should have applied during sunrise.

One word domains are always great.
.eu will be bigger than .com! (yes, I'm biased)

One word domains are always good but you may not want to purchase an obscure one word domain. The shorter and more common of word the better it is for you.

Good Luck!

thanks for the replies guys.. what's the best thing I can do with the domains if I get them? Develope the domain by myself or resell them? What's the best way to get an optimal roi.

Thanks again!

Turn it into a nice portal. Add some RSS news feeds to it, relevant to the domain name. Try and generate some traffic.
A developed site sells better than a site that shows nothing.

Exactly! A developed site sells better than a site that shows nothing. You can develop a mini site on a theme which would be relevant to the domain name.

Great advice Kiran. however, I may have to disagree about the popularity of the .eu being greater than .com

They will get fairly easy your domain from you if they want it.
Generic are best... IMO. No trouble.
Here: register finnair.eu and let see if they will hammer you. :)

Eurid have a backdoor policy, posted on their site, especially for lazy companies like the one mentioned above.
